AI assistant “Ask ISEUS”
“Ask ISEUS” is an AI assistant for professors, assistants and students. It answers teaching staff’s questions about course statistics and writes drafts of reports and announcements, and it explains attendance, points, signature status and deadlines to students. The decision and the publishing always stay with you.
Included in the Professor plan (500 questions per month) and the Campus plan (2,500 questions per month); the Free plan only shows an example. AI answers may be wrong, so check them.
How it works

Ask a question
For example: how many students are below the attendance requirement, what is the exam pass rate, how does this year compare with last year. You can type the question or say it (voice input in Chrome, Edge and Safari).

Names stay with us
The assistant uses aggregate statistics from fixed queries. Before anything is sent to the Google Gemini model (Google Cloud Vertex AI, EU), student names, index numbers and email addresses are replaced by codes.

You get an answer or a draft
You review the answer, report or announcement before using it. You publish it through the usual announcements; the AI changes nothing.

Student
In courses with a paid plan, students ask about their own attendance, points, exams and deadlines, up to 20 messages per day and free of charge. They see only their own data.
Frequently asked questions
Can the AI change grades or attendance?
No. The AI assistant never changes any data and never publishes anything. Answers are for review and may be wrong, so check them.
What student data is sent to the AI service?
Aggregate statistics and codes (S1, S2 ...) instead of students. Names, index numbers and email addresses are also removed from the questions you type. Names are put back into the answer only on our server, and only for teaching staff.
Which AI model does ISEUS use, and where is data processed?
Google Gemini through Google Cloud Vertex AI, in the EU region in Belgium (europe-west1). Under the Google Cloud terms this data is not used to train models. Conversations are stored on our servers in the EU and deleted 90 days after the last message.
Which plans include the AI assistant?
Professor: 500 questions per month. Campus: 2,500 questions per month. The Free plan only shows an example. Students use it free of charge in courses with a paid plan, up to 20 messages per day.
